I’m on day 2 of Rethink your Shrink and to be honest, I’m not officially “dieting” yet. We still have 2 more holiday functions to get through over the next couple of days and I honestly have not one bit of healthy food in the house. So, the calorie counting and hard-core exercise has not started, but the preparation and diet mentality is still there (along with a little splurging before I start good behavior lol). Of course, today I managed to puncture my foot with some type of sharp instrument. I honestly can’t tell you what it is, as it was in my grandmother’s sewing kid and I’ve never actually seen one of these before. The bottom of my foot is quite tender so I may have to start out with a modified exercise plan if it’s still bugging me on Monday. I’m definitely not letting it be an excuse to not exercise considering my legs, arms, etc still move. :) But running and aerobics may be out of the question. I’m really hoping that by Monday it’s feeling better since I’m babying it now.
Anywho, since I am still in the diet mindset I thought I’d participate in the “Premiere Edition” of The Thursday Three over at Shrinking Jeans. Our “homework” (did I mention I hate homework?) is to:
- Write down 3 goals you have for yourself for this challenge.
- I will lose 10 pounds.
- I will blog 5 out of the 7 days of the week about the challenge.
- I will workout no less than 4 days a week.
- Track your goals.
- I set up a ticker on my blog for my weight los so I’ve got that one down.
- I think the blogging is easy to track since I’ll have “written” record of when I have blogged about the challenge.
- I intend to “schedule” my workouts, though I will have to allow a certain amount of flexibility for a nursing newborn. Haven’t quite figured out how I will schedule them yet.
- Come up with a NON-FOOD reward.
- A NON-FOOD reward? Does Starbucks count? haha When I reach all of my goals, I will treat myself to a pair of new workout shoes. Mine are pretty raggy. Though I’m not one to treat myself.
Now I’m off to over-indulge a little at the in-laws for New Years. Then I get to come home and make my healthy grocery list so I can start the new year off right! Does anybody do the Green Smoothies? I think I’m going to try those as a way to incorporate some of my fruits and veggies into my day. I haven’t picked a recipe yet, but they look pretty simple
